BEAVER FALLS – A Lake Lillian Man was injured when his motorcycle lost control and crashed into a ditch near Beaver Falls on Saturday, according to the Renville County Sheriff’s Office. At approximately 11:34 Saturday morning, a 2002 Harley-Davidson was traveling westbound on County Road 2 and was attempting to navigate a curve in the road when the rider lost control, sending the motorcycle through a wooden barrier post. Two People Hospitalized After Car Collides with Semi in Jackson County

HERON LAKE – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Jackson County on Wednesday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 7:15 Wednesday evening, a 2012 Chevy Camaro was traveling southbound on County Road 9 and a 2005 International Semi was traveling westbound on Highway 60 when they collided in the intersection.  The driver of the Chevy, 21-year-old Gabriel Villarreal of Heron Lake, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Windom hospital. Marshall Fire Department Responds to Two Overnight Fires

MARSHALL – The Marshall Fire Departments responded to back-to-back fire calls last night. The first fire was reported by a passerby around 10:30 p.m. at the 1100 block of Horizon Drive. One occupant was in the house at the time. The Marshall Police Department was able to get the occupant out safely.   When MFD arrived, they found the front of the house had an exterior fire and the fire had worked its way towards the interior of the home. Plane Crashes into Cornfield North of Tyler; Nobody Hurt

TYLER – Nobody was injured when a plane crashed Friday morning, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. At approximately 11:07 Friday morning, a single seat spray plane was attempting to take flight when it crashed into a cornfield, just north of the Tyler Municipal Airport runway. The pilot, who has not been identified, was not injured. The plane was damaged in the crash. The public is asked to stay away from the area for safety reasons and so the crash scene can be properly investigated. Vehicle/Deer Collision on Hwy. 23; Granite Falls Woman Injured

GREEN VALLEY – A Granite Falls woman was hospitalized after her vehicle struck a deer, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 9:45 Sunday evening, a 2016 Kia Optima was traveling northbound on Highway 23 near Green Valley in Lyon County when it struck a deer. The driver of the Kia, 18-year-old Tianna Marie Wright of Granite Falls, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Granite Falls hospital. Assistance was provided by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and Cottonwood Ambulance.
