BEAVER FALLS – A Lake Lillian Man was injured when his motorcycle lost control and crashed into a ditch near Beaver Falls on Saturday, according to the Renville County Sheriff’s Office. At approximately 11:34 Saturday morning, a 2002 Harley-Davidson was traveling westbound on County Road 2 and was attempting to navigate a curve in the road when the rider lost control, sending the motorcycle through a wooden barrier post. The collision sent both the rider and motorcycle into a steep embankment in the north ditch.  

The driver of the Harley, 69-year-old Peter Joseph Verdon of Lake Lillian, was treated at the scene before being airlifted to North Memorial Health Hospital with serious injuries. His current condition is not known. The Renville County Sheriff’s Office notes Verdon was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
