TYLER – Nobody was injured when a plane crashed Friday morning, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. At approximately 11:07 Friday morning, a single seat spray plane was attempting to take flight when it crashed into a cornfield, just north of the Tyler Municipal Airport runway. The pilot, who has not been identified, was not injured. The plane was damaged in the crash.

The public is asked to stay away from the area for safety reasons and so the crash scene can be properly investigated. The crash is being investigated by the FAA.
