Beyoncé said, "this ain't a country album, this is a Beyoncé album" . . . and she was right.  On "Cowboy Carter", there's a centralized country theme and some great country songs.  But her pop showmanship shines throughout. It also has elements of hip-hop, bluegrass, rock and roll, and even an operatic run.  With 27 tracks, this album is just far too big to be put into one box.  But that new version of "Jolene" is here to stay. Oliver Anthony independently released his debut album yesterday called "Hymnal of a Troubled Man's Mind".  It's the story of his life from 2013 to 2023. Quote, "This album represents the most pure and transparent view inside my heart and soul that I could offer . . . "While 'Richmond' was the song that got my name out in the public, these songs represent the true foundation of the music that got me through life up until now . . . George Strait revealed this last week, but it turns out a handful of people heard about it a little early . . . He and Parker McCollum have a big show at Texas A&M's Kyle Field on June 15th.  Fellow Texan Catie Offerman will also be there. George announced it on Instagram last Tuesday.  But ESPN's Pat McAfee revealed that a roomful of people in Indiana heard about it 11 days early . . . and had Peyton Manning to thank.  (???) A frontloader is one of those construction vehicles with a big bucket on the front.  Needed to get that out of the way, because this story has two of them . . . University of Iowa PHENOM Caitlin Clark could be the first woman to make $5 MILLION playing basketball. Ice Cube has offered her that much to play against guys in his BIG3 basketball league.  That would mean eight regular season games, and possibly two playoff appearances.  And the deal would still allow her to play in the WBNA.
