UTV Rollover Crash Injures Two Near Renville, MN; Investigation Underway

RENVILLE -- On Friday at approximately 9:52 PM, the Renville County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a UTV rollover crash on 840th Ave, one mile northwest of Renville, MN. The crash involved a 2013 Polaris Ranger driven by 26-year-old Brittany Harazin, with a passenger, 22-year-old Ashley Trongard. Both sustained injuries when the UTV veered off the eastbound roadway, overturned in a ditch. Harazin was airlifted to North Memorial in Robbinsdale, while Trongard was taken to Olivia Hospital & Clinic. Teen Drowns at Brown County Park; Second Such Tragedy in a Month

BROWN COUNTY -- On Sunday, a teenager drowned at Mound Creek County Park in Brown County.  Around 3:30 p.m., the Brown County Sheriff’s Office got a call about a possible drowning at the park. Witnesses reported that a 15-year-old boy from Mountain Lake was swimming when he got into trouble, went underwater, and didn’t come back up.  Emergency responders rushed to the scene to rescue the boy. Despite receiving medical attention, he was pronounced dead shortly after 5:30 p.m.  The teen’s body was taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office. MARSHALL -- Last week, Marshall was surprised by the sudden closure of its Taco John’s restaurant on East College Drive, now listed for sale online. Similarly, the Worthington branch has shut down. By May 2nd, Marshall's Taco John’s was empty, with sign letters being removed on Monday. Both properties hit the market on Tuesday via Crexi, with Marshall's priced at $700,000 and Worthington's at $550,000. Though these locations are no longer on Taco John’s website, other nearby branches remain operational in Luverne, Fairmont, New Ulm, Brookings, and Sioux Falls.

MARSHALL --  Starting May 13th, the Minnesota Department of Transportation kicks off the Highway 68 Minneota to Marshall resurfacing project. Stretching from North Grant Street in Minneota to the Highway 59 intersection in Marshall, this initiative aims to enhance road quality. Renville County, MN - The Renville County Sheriff's Office received a report on Saturday at approximately 8:41 p.m. from the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office regarding a single-vehicle rollover on Meeker-Renville Line Rd & Meeker Co Rd 1, approximately 11 miles north of Buffalo Lake, MN, in Boon Lake Township.
