MARSHALL — Starting May 13th, the Minnesota Department of Transportation kicks off the Highway 68 Minneota to Marshall resurfacing project. Stretching from North Grant Street in Minneota to the Highway 59 intersection in Marshall, this initiative aims to enhance road quality. The city of Ghent won’t be affected initially but will undergo resurfacing later.
Scheduled for completion by June 30th, weather permitting, the project aims to improve road surfaces for smoother rides. Despite ongoing work, traffic will continue, eliminating the need for detours. However, a flagging operation will be in place, urging travelers to allot additional time for their journeys. Motorists are reminded to exercise caution, reduce speed, and stay vigilant for workers and heavy machinery in the construction zone.
With Central Specialties, Inc. as the contractor, the project carries an estimated cost of $3.1 million.
