MARSHALL — Commissioners Todd Draper (District 2) and Gary Crowley (District 4) announced their bids for re-election in Lyon County. The candidate filing period officially opens on May 21st and continues until June 4th. Three commissioner seats are up for re-election: Districts 2, 4, and 5.
Crowley, residing in Grandview Township, has chaired the county board since 2016 and is active on multiple committees and boards including Area II, the Marshall-Lyon County Library, Minnesota Rural Counties, Soil & Water Conservation District, Southwest Health and Human Services, and the University of Minnesota Extension.
Draper, from Marshall, was first elected in 2022 and serves on various boards and committees including the Rural Energy Task Force, Southwest Health and Human Services, United Community Action Partnership, and Western Mental Health Center.
