Some people don't want to do acupuncture because they're scared of needles.  Well, now there's something else to be worried about. O.J. Simpson died Wednesday after a battle with cancer.  He was 76 years old. I think we all know the bio:  He won the Heisman Trophy as a running back for USC, then had a record-breaking NFL career with the Buffalo Bills. If LIBRARIES want to make it through another century, they probably don't want to make a habit of BLINDING the next generation. A library in New Jersey made a little goof earlier this week, when they got a bunch of eclipse glasses so that local children could witness the wonders of science.  But instead it became a lesson on the evils of big business. Happy National Pet Day!  Two-thirds of us have at least one pet at home, according to the most recent stats.  Dogs and cats are the most common, followed by fish, birds, rodents, reptiles, and horses. 97% of us think of our fur-babies as "part of the family."  But we definitely get a little more creative NAMING them than we do with our actual kids. Nationwide Pet Insurance has an annual contest to find the WACKIEST pet names in America.  Last year's winners included a dog named "Doc PAWlliday" and a cat named "Spicy Beef PURRito". Five bucks says someone in this guy's life tells him, "You can't do ANYTHING right." 56-year-old Roger Foster lives in The Villages in Florida.  But he was in Long Island, New York on Monday when he got into a high-speed chase with the cops. They responded to a domestic incident after he allegedly went to his ex-wife's work and slashed her tires.  He took off in his Chevy Malibu rental car, but cops eventually caught up with him.  A helicopter also joined the pursuit.
