MARSHALL (KMHL) – Stay home if you’re sick! That’s the message from Avera Marshall Chief Medical Officer Dr. Steven Meister.
He says community spread of COVID-19 is occurring in the area and in-order to control it people need to stay home when they don’t feel well.
“Let’s face it, community spread is going because people are either walking around not feeling quite so good, or thinking they just have a mild cold,” said Meister. “Those are the people that bother me because they should be staying at home.”
Meister notes community spread could also be occurring through those who are asymptomatic, and he adds, “there are good numbers of those too.”
He says that why it’s important for people to keep wearing their masks when they’re out in public and frequently washing hands to help control the spread.
