In a survey, 84% of people say they feel more productive if their workspace is organized, whether that's at an office . . . a workshop . . . a retail setting . . . an operating room . . . or working remotely at home. 2024-04-24T14:39:08-05:00April 24th, 2024|Categories: KARL, KARZ, KKCK, KMHL|

The internet is a SUPER WEIRD place sometimes, especially when it comes to memes. There's a meme on social media, where people are posting this:  "[Blank] would be a beautiful name for a baby girl."  But it ISN'T a beautiful name, it's an absurd name.  Like, "Ponderosa."  (???) If you're wondering WHY . . . well, you're asking too much of the internet. Here are some of the "best" ones: 1.  "Activia would be a beautiful name for a baby girl." 2.  "Ramen would be a beautiful name for a baby girl." 3.  "Sega Dreamcast would be a beautiful name for a [...]

What is your approach when you're packing suitcases for a trip:  Pack as lightly as possible to limit the stuff you have to lug around with you . . . or cram as much of your closet into your luggage as possible? There's a new survey out on Americans' packing habits, it found that there's one part of the country that is PACKED with OVERPACKERS . . . Pennsylvania. For a seven-day trip, the average Pennsylvanian will pack:  10 shirts / tops . . . seven pants / bottoms . . . three pieces of formalwear . . . three sets [...]

A Glitch Deleted “Philadelphia” from Instagram and Facebook

2024-04-23T14:17:15-05:00April 23rd, 2024|Categories: KARL, KARZ, KKCK, KMHL|

If you're originally from Philly . . . well, actually, YOU'RE NOT.  At least not according to Facebook and Instagram the past few days. A weird glitch removed "Philadelphia" as an option last week.  People noticed it wasn't their "hometown" anymore, and they couldn't add it back in either. If you tried to add Philadelphia as your hometown or current city, your only options were things like Philadelphia, Mississippi.  The only choice in Pennsylvania was the small town of New Philadelphia, about 90 miles outside the city. It affected businesses too.  Their address on Instagram didn't have the city anymore and [...]

Do You Really Have to Wash Shredded Cheese Before Eating It?

2024-04-23T14:16:00-05:00April 23rd, 2024|Categories: KARL, KARZ, KKCK, KMHL|

Have you ever noticed the dusty stuff on packaged shredded cheese?  It's always there . . . whether you see it or not . . . and it's an anti-caking agent.  It keeps the shreds from sticking and lumping together. Different companies use different methods.  Kraft uses cornstarch . . . Tillamook uses potato starch . . . Sargento uses powdered cellulose, which is "refined wood pulp" . . . Lucerne uses both tapioca and potato starch.  Other anti-caking agents can include calcium sulfate, which is a component in cement. That sounds questionable, but they're all food-safe in small amounts.  Still, [...]

Jelly Roll Is Off the Internet Because He’s Tired of Being Bullied About His Weight

2024-04-23T14:12:07-05:00April 23rd, 2024|Categories: KARL, KKCK|

Ugh, the internet is the worst.  People feel emboldened to say the nastiest things, but there's no consequences.  Jelly Roll's wife, Bunnie XO, said on her podcast that Jelly stopped using it because of all the negative stuff he read about his weight. She said, "My husband is off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his [effing] weight.  And that makes me want to cry because he is the sweetest angel baby.  [He] doesn't show it to you guys, but . . . it hurts him." She went on to say, "The internet can say whatever the [eff] they [...]

A Man Pulled a Gun on a Fast-Food Worker, Who Refused to Accept Drugs as Payment

2024-04-23T14:10:20-05:00April 23rd, 2024|Categories: KARL, KARZ, KKCK, KMHL|

Some places don't accept American Express . . . some don't accept cash . . . and THIS PLACE didn't accept METH. A 40-year-old man in Colorado named Eugene Robertson was found guilty of multiple charges . . . including a bizarre interaction at a Burger King in 2022. He'd gone through the drive-thru . . . and offered to pay with a baggie of drugs instead of money.  The employee refused, so Eugene pulled a gun on him. He didn't shoot . . . and drove off.  Then, he tried pulling a similar stunt at a 7-Eleven across the street. [...]

A Middle Schooler Assaulted Another Kid . . . with a Stanley Cup?

2024-04-22T16:11:17-05:00April 22nd, 2024|Categories: KARZ, KKCK, KMHL|

There was a time a few months back, when people thought so highly of Stanley mugs, that some people were wondering whether it would make them less valuable to take them out of the packaging.  Now, they're weapons. A 13-year-old middle school student in Pennsylvania has been accused of launching an unprovoked attack against a classmate last week . . . violently hitting a 12-year-old girl in the head "with a large Stanley cup," several times. It was so vicious that the girl was "visibly bleeding."  She was taken to the hospital, and thankfully she's expected to be okay. The attacker, [...]

John Travolta Got His Role in “Pulp Fiction” Because He Did Quentin Tarantino’s Finances

2024-04-22T16:10:36-05:00April 22nd, 2024|Categories: KARZ, KKCK, KMHL|

During a 30th anniversary screening of "Pulp Fiction" last week, John Travolta revealed how he snagged the role of Vincent Vega.  Tarantino was a huge fan, and he reached out to John's agent and arranged a meeting. So John went to Quentin's apartment . . . which, coincidentally, used to be John's apartment back in the day. They spent almost 24 hours together.  The first thing they did was play John Travolta BOARD GAMES.  Seriously, Tarantino had the board game versions of "Saturday Night Fever", "Welcome Back Kotter", and "Grease". And during each game, Quentin wanted John to randomly throw out lines his character would have said.  (???) After [...]
