MINNEOTA – Voters in the Minneota Public School District rejected both bond referendum questions on the February 11, 2025, ballot. The measures, which aimed to address facility improvements, failed by narrow margins.

According to unofficial results, Question 1 received 428 votes in favor (49.2%) and 442 against (50.8%). Question 2 fared worse, with 375 votes in favor (43.2%) and 494 opposed (56.8%).

Despite the setback, district officials emphasized their commitment to exploring alternative solutions. “We remain committed to finding acceptable long-term solutions for our facilities that benefit our students, staff, and community residents,” the district stated following the vote.

Officials will now assess the results and consider next steps in addressing the district’s facility needs.
