STEWART, MN — A Minneapolis woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a rollover crash early Sunday on Highway 212, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. 

The crash happened at 4:36 a.m. at westbound Highway 212 and County Road 7 near Stewart in McLeod County. A 2007 Saturn Ion was heading west when it lost control and rolled into the ditch. 

The driver, Katherine Grace Vonholtum, 29, of Minneapolis, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Her passenger, Christopher Michael Benton, 27, of Redwood Falls, was transported to Hutchinson Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Both occupants were wearing seat belts. Alcohol was involved, the State Patrol said. Road conditions were dry at the time. 

The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office, Stewart Fire, Brownton Fire, Buffalo Lake Ambulance, and Allina Ambulance assisted at the scene.
