Redwood Falls (KMHL) – A Marshall man was arrested in Redwood Falls on Tuesday evening after a 15 hour standoff with police.  Late Monday evening, the Redwood Falls Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance call in Redwood Falls.  The female victim told officers the suspect, identified as Christopher William Heuer, age 32 of Marshall had allegedly assaulted the victim and left before law enforcement’s arrival.  Continued investigation revealed the suspect may be armed with two firearms and had outstanding arrest warrants from two other counties.  Heuer was tracked to an apartment in the 1100 block of South Halverson street in Redwood Falls at 3:00 AM on Tuesday morning.  After refusing to exit the residence, the Brown/Lyon/Redwood/Renville Emergency Response Unit was activated and responded to the scene to assist in the situation.  Negotiators spent several hours attempting to convince Heuer to exit the residence without success.  Several gas munitions were launched into the residence and at approximately 6:00 PM, Heuer exited the apartment and was taken into custody without further incident.
