Due to recent rains and elevated water levels, a no-wake advisory has been issued for Lake Shetek, Lake Shetek inlet waters, and Bloody Lake in Murray County. The no-wake advisory is also in effect for Lake Yankton and East Twin Lake in Lyon County. This advisory requires watercraft to operate at speeds that do not produce a wake. Watercraft operators are urged to exercise caution and maintain slower speeds during these high-water conditions to protect against shore erosion and damage from floating debris. The advisory will be continuously evaluated and adjusted based on changing water levels.

WABASSO – St. Anne’s Catholic School is preparing to construct a new school building to better serve its students. The projected cost of the new facility is estimated at $12,223,594, which includes the construction of the new building and the demolition of the existing structure.  The current school building, constructed in 1923, has accessibility issues due to its multi-level design, lack of an elevator, and no restrooms on the main floor.
