Affected Areas:

  • Minnesota: Cottonwood, Jackson, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Nobles, and Pipestone Counties
  • South Dakota: Brookings County


  • Heat Index Values: Up to 105°F
  • Time: 1 PM to 8 PM CDT, June 24, 2024


  • High temperatures and humidity may cause heat-related illnesses.

Precautionary Measures:

  • Drink plenty of fluids.
  • Stay in air-conditioned environments.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure.
  • Check on relatives and neighbors.
  • Wear lightweight, loose-fitting clothing.
  • Limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
  • Be alert for symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
