A celebration of life memorial service for David Schultz, 63, of Lynd, will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall.  A walk through visitation will take place on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the remembrance center.  Interment will follow the service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.  Masks are required at all indoor events and social distancing guidelines will be followed at all times.

David Alan Schultz was born on May 9, 1957, in Marshall, Minnesota to Leopold and Elaine (Bump) Schultz. He grew up in Marshall and graduated from Marshall High School in 1975. After graduation David entered the United States Air Force where he was a mechanic on C-130 airplanes. After returning from his years of service, David continued to live in Marshall. David worked for several years for Lyon County as the sign man and most recently worked for Menards. David welcomed two beautiful daughters into this world and enjoyed getting photos and updates of his grandson. Throughout his life David enjoyed hunting, fishing and archery. David enjoyed playing sports and watching the Twins, Vikings and the Wild. David had a passion for cooking and had an amazing talent in the kitchen and on the grill. 

David was suddenly taken to heaven on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at his home in Lynd. He is survived by his daughter Amie, son in law Jason and grandson Brodyn Lano of Chanhassen and daughter Catherine Schultz of Eden Prairie. His mother Elaine Schultz of Marshall. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters Marcia (and Larry) Sik, of Marshall, Steve (and Barb) Schultz of Albany, Mary (and Brad) Van Nevel of Moorhead, Michael (and Lynn) Schultz of Marshall, Julie (and Ted) Geary of Marshall, Joel (and Shannon) of Marshall, and brother-in-law Larry Jacob of Marshall.  Also surviving Nieces and Nephews, Steven, Natalie (and Doug), Matthew, Sarah (and Alex), Michael, Lucas (and Leah), Erin, Benjamin, Adam, Nicholas, Rylee, and Abbie. Great Nieces and Nephews Charlotte, Poppy, Douglas and Owen as well as many other extended family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his father Leopold Schultz and sister Becky Jacob.  David will be missed by all.
