MARSHALL — Three people were injured in a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 59 and 23 on Tuesday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 1:52 Tuesday afternoon, a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero was traveling southbound on Highway 59. A 2021 Kia Soul was also traveling southbound on Highway 59. A 2014 Cadillac SRX was traveling eastbound on Highway 23 when the vehicles collided.
The driver of the Cadillac, 65-year-old Mary Guevara of Marshall, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Marshall hospital.
The driver of the Kia, 83-year-old Alan Peter Hansen of Marshall, and his passenger, 82-year-old Jane Ellen Hansen, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the Marshall hospital.
The driver of the Oldsmobile, 61-year-old Roger Allen Chamberlain of Marshall, was not injured.
Assistance was provided by the Marshall Police Department, Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall Fire Department, and North Ambulance.
