The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and Windom Police Department are attempting to locate Ralph Apmann, age 58. Apmann posted bail after being charged in a homicide case, but failed to appear in court February 13th for the trial. Apmann is 5’10”, 230 pounds, with hazel eyes and balding gray hair.Ralph Apmann is believed to be armed with a 9mm handgun and an AR-15 rifle, and may be in the Twin Cities area. He has felony warrants for second-degree homicide and failure to appear for jury trial. Call 911 if you know Apmann’s whereabouts and do not attempt to approach him.
Apmann was charged in August 2021 with 2nd-degree murder in the death of a man found unresponsive at a Windom bar. Court documents say Apmann put the victim in a chokehold and the man suffered multiple injuries to his neck. He posted bailed after he was charged.
