Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is traveling to Denmark, Sweden and Iceland this week to strengthen international partnerships and promote business development.
Walz’s trip runs through Saturday, October 3. He is meeting with government, business and economic development leaders to discuss opportunities in healthcare innovation, agriculture, clean technology, higher education and advanced manufacturing.
Walz says the trip will highlight Minnesota’s workforce, educational institutions and businesses while seeking investment and expanded opportunities for Minnesota companies and workers.
Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development Commissioner Matt Varilek says the state’s skilled workforce, quality of life and business environment will be emphasized during meetings.
The Walz administration says Minnesota has participated in 12 international trade missions to more than 18 countries since 2019 and visited more than 45 international companies with investments in the state.
