ST. PAUL (KMHL) – Gov. Tim Walz announced last night that Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison will lead the prosecution in the George Floyd case.

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman filed the charges against Derek Chauvin Friday – the investigation into the three others continues.

Walz said protesters don’t trust the process – so he said Ellison needs to lead the prosecution.

Ellison told reporters Sunday that he plans to bring all resources necessary to bring justice in the case.
