ST. PAUL (LEARFIELD) — Minnesota small business owners joined Senate Republicans at the State Capitol today to share ideas about opening the economy safely during the COVID-19 crisis.
Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka says they recognize steps like social distancing are very important, but if the current shutdown continues, entire communities across Minnesota could be destroyed.
Gazelka added many of the stated goals of Governor Tim Walz’s stay at home order have already been met, meaning it is time to move forward and re-open the state.
Last week, Walz extended a stay at home order for most Minnesotans through May 18th.
