ST. PAUL (LEARFIELD) – Senate Democrats arrived too late to object last night (Thurs), as Republicans cued-up for a likely floor vote today (Fri) a bill to continue current funding for state government, if there’s no budget agreement by the June 30th fiscal year end.

Shortly after, Democrats burst into the chamber.  An obviously frustrated Minority Leader Tom Bakk (BOCK) threw his hands up in the air but wouldn’t comment further.

Sources say Democrats received the required half-hour notice of the quick floor session at 8:15 p-m.

Because state budget negotiations are deadlocked there will likely be heated debate when the “continuing resolution” bill comes up for a vote in the full Senate.
