SAINT PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison has announced felony theft charges in two Medicaid fraud cases involving more than $1.5 million in alleged losses.
Salman Ahmed Elmi, who operates Reva Health, is accused of fraudulently billing more than $1 million for mental health services that were either not provided or were not eligible for Medicaid reimbursement.
In a separate case, Mohamed Haji Rashid is accused of more than $300,000 in improper Medicaid billing through Liberty Home Health Care.
The cases involve a combined 17 felony theft charges and are being prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
