Rural Tracy Man Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision near Tracy

TRACY, Minn. — On Friday at 8:00 in the evening, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of 310th Avenue and 160th Street near Tracy. It was determined that a 2011 GMC Sierra pick up was traveling northbound on 310th Avenue and attempted to turn right onto 160th street when it collided with a 2013 International truck that was traveling eastbound on 160th street.  

The driver of the GMC, a 19-year-old rural Tracy man sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Tracy Hospital. 

The driver of the International, a 30-year-old Cottonwood man, was not injured. 

Assistance was provided by Tracy Ambulance. 

Burglary Under Investigation in Cottonwood 

COTTONWOOD — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported burglary on the 200 block of Shoreview Drive. The incident was reported Sunday at 7:15 a.m. and remains under investigation. 

Deputies are asking residents in the area to review home security footage from the night of Sept. 6 into the early morning of Sept. 7, especially after midnight. Authorities are seeking video of suspicious vehicles or individuals who may not belong in the neighborhood.

Lynd man arrested after property damage report 

LYND — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 39-year-old Lynd man Sunday evening after responding to a property damage report near 190th Avenue and County Road 25. He faces charges of driving after cancellation, driving while intoxicated, obstructing the legal process, and disorderly conduct.
