Residents will have multiple opportunities to donate blood this week at community blood drives across southwest Minnesota, with appointments still available at several locations.
The first drives are scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, at the Community Building in Cottonwood from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. and at the Kilowatt Center in Granite Falls from 1 to 7 p.m.
On Wednesday, June 24, a blood drive will be held at the American Legion in Minneota from 1 to 7 p.m.
Additional drives are planned for Thursday, June 25, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Milroy from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Training and Community Center in Montevideo from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m., and the Marshall-Lyon County Library in Marshall from 1 to 7 p.m.
Several blood and Power Red donation appointments remain available at most locations. Blood donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance, although walk-ins may be accepted as space allows.
