UNDATED (LEARFIELD) – More than six-million dollars in state grant money is available to communities in Greater Minnesota for enhancing their transportation infrastructure.

MN-Dot’s Anne Meyer says grants can be used for a wide-range of community specific projects.

“Trail rehabilitation, a safe routes to school project in a particular area, to a complete street project,” said Meyer. “It really just depends on what they’re looking for.”

Meyer says the first step for communities is to reach out to MN-Dot to see what type of funding best fits their project. The initial application deadline is October 30th.

Full applications are due early in 2021. Recipients would be announced next spring.
