The University of Minnesota extension master gardener program has some gardening classes open to the public all at the Lyon County Library. May 18th @ 10:00 a.m. - The Trees that Help Us Breath: for kids in K-5 with Master Gardener Sue Morton   These events are presented through the Minnesota Extension Service Master Gardener Volunteer Program. Founded in 1977, the program now includes over 2,300 active master gardeners in almost every county of the state of Minnesota. The Tracy Public Library has the Three Days in Dakota, The James Brother's Escape from Northfield presentation by Russ Swanson Monday, May 2oth. Presentation is at the Public Library, 366 Morgan St. in Tracy 6:30 - 7:30 pm. A presentation of what was once the largest manhunt in U.S. history. After the Northfield bank robbery. The James/Younger Gang fled across southern Minnesota and into Dakota Territory before making their way back to Missouri. Marshall American Legion Auxiliary Pillowing Cleaning

The Marshall American Legion Auxiliary will be having a Pillowing Cleaning on May 21 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Wooden Nickel in Marshall. The proceeds benefit our Veteran’s programs. Used pillows will be cleaned, sanitized, and deodorized. The process takes only a few minutes. New pillows and comforters are also available.
