MARSHALL — Local officials, community members, and project partners gathered Tuesday, May 20, to mark the dedication of the Marshall Solar Plus (MSP) project, a renewable energy facility combining 10 megawatts (MW) of solar generation with 5 MW of battery storage. MARSHALL — Central Specialties Inc. began milling operations on several city streets Wednesday, May 21, 2025, as part of an ongoing mill and overlay project. “No Parking” signs were placed in advance along affected routes, and vehicles must remain off these streets during active construction hours. Milling is expected to be completed by Friday, May 23. Parking will be allowed over Memorial Day weekend (May 24–26). Paving is scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 27, weather permitting. MARSHALL — For the third consecutive year, Tapestry Companies is seeking state tax credits to build a 60-unit affordable housing complex in Marshall. MARSHALL — Construction is now underway on the S Minnesota Street/S Hill Street/Charles Avenue Reconstruction Project, led by contractor D&G Excavating, Inc. SLEEPY EYE, MN – A Fairfax man was injured on Wednesday after a rollover crash in Brown County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 10:23 Wednesday morning, a 2020 International semi was traveling southbound on Highway 4. Near the intersection with 320th street, the semi lost control and rolled into the ditch.  The driver of the International, 56-year-old Dean Krippner of Fairfax, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Sleepy Eye Medical Center.   Assistance was provided by the Sheriff’s Offices from Brown and Nicollet Counties, Sleepy Eye Police, Fire, and Ambulance.
