MARSHALL (KMHL) – The Redwood River is expected to reach flood stage again this week.

Heavy weekend rains and a wet spring and start to summer have combined to lead to the National Weather Service issuing a flood warning for the Redwood River near Marshall.

River forecasters are expecting the Redwood to crest at 14.5 feet on Wednesday – in the minor flood stage.

The city of Marshall is protected from river flooding at that level, so there are no impacts expected for the city at this point, but forecasters say we can expect minor flooding of low lying areas outside of the city.
