GARVIN, Minn. — A Tracy man was injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon near Garvin, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say the crash was reported at 5:04 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 9 and 150th Street. A 1995 Yamaha motorcycle traveling south on County Road 9 collided with a 2024 GMC Sierra pickup that was eastbound on 150th Street and attempting to turn north onto County Road 9.
The 37-year-old motorcycle rider from Tracy was taken by ambulance to Sanford Tracy before being airlifted to a hospital in Sioux Falls.
The pickup driver, a 66-year-old Marshall man, was not injured. He was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
Tracy Ambulance, Garvin First Responders, North Memorial Air Care and the Tracy Fire Department assisted at the scene.
