COTTONWOOD – Three people were injured after a three-vehicle collision on Tuesday near Cottonwood, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 1:25 Tuesday afternoon, a 2013 Peterbilt semi and trailer was traveling southbound on Highway 23, a 2013 Chevy Silverado was traveling eastbound on County Road 10, and a 2016 GMC Canyon was traveling southbound on Highway 23 when the vehicles collided in the intersection.
The driver of the Peterbilt, 44-year-old Travis Downing of Minneota, and the driver of the GMC, 19-year-old Taiven Isaackson of Cottonwood, each sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the Marshall hospital. The driver of the Chevy, 81-year-old Michael Gort of Marshall, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene.
