MARSHALL — A second-grade student was injured Thursday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle while using the crosswalk at 4th Street and Saratoga Street, school officials said.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported the child for medical care. No additional information on the student’s condition was released, as the district said it is protecting the family’s privacy. Authorities are reviewing the circumstances of the incident.
The Marshall School District said it is staying in close contact with the family and emphasized the importance of driver awareness near schools, urging motorists to follow speed limits, watch for children in crosswalks, avoid distractions, and follow directions from crossing guards.
