Roselia Margaret (Lantgen) Hennen was born on May 14, 1929, in Kranzburg Township, SD, to John and Rose (Mack) Lantgen. As a child, she moved with her family to rural Porter, then rural Clarkfield and attended school in Clarkfield. She worked for a time as a telephone operator in Minneota. On November 16, 1950, she was united in marriage to Edward Hennen at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Ghent. The couple was blessed with five children. Roselia was an only child, but her six sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law were like siblings to her. She provided for her family from “farm to table” by farming, gardening, canning and other tasks. She was a weather watcher and enjoyed visiting with friends, embroidery and playing cards, especially Bridge and Pinochle. After Ed’s death, Roselia moved to Minneota. She died on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at the Minneota Manor.

Roselia is survived by her children Keith (and LaNaye) Hennen of Clarkfield, MaryJo (and Dr. David) Meese of Ormond Beach, FL, James (and Pam) Hennen of Minneota, Jeffrey (and Judy) Hennen of Ghent, Jean (and Robert) Wipper of Clear Lake, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and in-laws.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Madison Aveune Apartments, Minneota Manor, and Hospice for their generous care of Roselia.  Memorials are preferred to Sanford Canby Hospice.
