Ron was born October 20th, 1964, to Mavis Arlene (McKay) and Ervin Melvin Hoffman in Redwood Falls. He was baptized November 29th, 1964 at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wabasso where he was also confirmed June 1st, 1980. His confirmation verse was John 8:12. Ron had a strong faith. In good times and bad he never wavered from his beliefs. His strong faith is a gift which will continue to grow for generations. Ron attended Wabasso Public School where he met the love of his life in junior high, Barb Heiling, and made many great lifelong friends.  He graduated on May 20th, 1983.  Ron and Barb had a true love story that withstood time and distance.  They were married August 28th, 1993 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls.  They were married for 27 loving years.  Together they had three daughters: Alex, Emily & Amanda.  Ron was an honest man with a dedicated, patient, and goofy spirit. He loved to farm, snowmobile, travel to the lake and take vacation trips with his family.  He also liked to rebuild and paint cars, make people laugh, and visit with good friends. From the moment that Ron’s feet could reach the pedal, he was helping his parents on the farm. Ron was a farmer at heart, and a great provider. As a father of three girls, Ron was never shy to break out his dance moves in public to make his girls laugh (or to embarrass them). His laugh would fill the room, and could brighten anyone’s day.

Ron is survived by his wife Barb Hoffman; daughters: Alexandra, Emily, and Amanda Hoffman; siblings: Larry Hoffman, Nancy Kissner, Roxie (Dave) Wurscher and Bonnie (Mike) Franta;  his nieces and nephews, and numerous great friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Mavis and Ervin Hoffman; father-in-law Ken Heiling; mother-in-law Shirley Heiling; brother in law Jerry Kissner and many other relatives.
