Patricia Lee Driessen was born on January 20, 1943, in Balaton, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Bernard and Gladys (Penhale) Johnson. Pat attended school in Marshall and graduated from Marshall High School with the class of 1961.
On April 18, 1964, Pat was married to Ronald Driessen at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. They shared over 52 years of marriage and were blessed with two children, Mark and Jill. Pat and Ron lived on the family farm outside Marshall until 1976, when they moved and settled in Marshall. Pat worked as a supervisor at Advance Opportunities for nearly 38 years. She loved her work there and she felt like her dear clients were her extended family. After Ron’s death in 2017, Pat moved back out to the farm, with Mark and Lisa, to be closer to her family.
Pat loved fashion and kept up with all the latest trends. She enjoyed music, traveling and trips to the casino. Pat was always up for an adventure and loved to be in “the know,” she will be remembered for her deep care for others. She loved her family, especially her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Pat died on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 76 years, 6 months, and 5 days.
Pat is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lisa Driessen of Marshall; grandchildren, Nathan Thweatt of Marshall, Christopher Thweatt of Vancouver, WA, Tiffany (and Nathan) Fassler of Marshall, Kayla Driessen (and Brian “Buddy” Pehrson) of Russell, Alyssa Driessen of Marshall, Savannah (Tyler Illg) of Currie; 3 great grandchildren, Teagan Fassler, Nolan Fassler, Landon Pehrson; sisters, Mary (and John) Steinfelt of Roseburg, OR, Kathy Fox of Burnsville, Jan Grogan of Marshall; other relatives and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Gladys Johnson; husband, Ronald; son, Mark; daughter, Jill; brother, Larry; sisters, Jackie and Sharon.
