GARVIN – Three people from Storden were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Saturday in Murray County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 4:44 Saturday afternoon, a 2012 Ford Edge was traveling northbound on Highway 59 and a 2004 GMC Yukon XL was traveling eastbound on 201st Street when they collided in the intersection.  The driver of the Ford, 49-year-old Travis Jon Halland of Storden, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Murray County Hospital. MARSHALL -- The Nation Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory in effect until 10:00 this morning. Visibility is reduced significantly in southwest Minnesota, and central, east central, south central, and southeast South Dakota. The low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous. Temperatures falling to near or below freezing may cause slick spots on untreated roads and surfaces. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

(Willmar, MN) -- The Minnesota B-C-A is investigating after a police officer shot a man with a knife Sunday morning in downtown Willmar. Someone reported being threatened with a knife and was located by an officer at the scene. Police say the officer was talking to the alleged victim when the suspect exited a doorway and charged at the officer with a knife.
