GARVIN – Three people from Storden were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Saturday in Murray County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 4:44 Saturday afternoon, a 2012 Ford Edge was traveling northbound on Highway 59 and a 2004 GMC Yukon XL was traveling eastbound on 201st Street when they collided in the intersection. 

The driver of the Ford, 49-year-old Travis Jon Halland of Storden, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Murray County Hospital. Two of his passengers, 47-year-old Amy Leigh Halland of Storden and a juvenile boy, each sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were also taken to the Murray County Hospital.  

The driver of the GMC, 51-year-old Jason Michael Carlson of Ioana, was not injured. 

Assistance was provided by the Murray County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Shetek Fire and Rescue, Murray County Ambulance, Slayton Fire Department, and Tracy Ambulance.
