FAIRFAX – A New Market man was injured when his semi collided with another semi on Highway 19 in Renville County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 10:34 Monday morning, a 2018 Peterbilt Semi was traveling westbound on Highway 19 and a 2020 Kenworth Semi was traveling eastbound on Highway 19. Near the intersection with County Road 16, the vehicles collided. 

The driver of the Peterbilt, 63-year-old David Duane Schwantz of New Market, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to CentraCare Hospital in Redwood Falls. 

The driver of the Kenworth, 26-year-old Day Day Poe of Naperville, IL, was not injured.
