GRANITE FALLS (KMHL) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting an open house in both Granite Falls and Cottonwood next week to go over the details of a major reconstruction project on Highway 23 between the two communities.

MnDOT will do concrete resurfacing of the highway from Cottonwood to Granite Falls and will make various intersection improvements along the highway.

The open house in Cottonwood will be held Tuesday from 4:30 to 5:30 at the Cottonwood Community Center. They will also hold a meeting at the Kilowatt Community Center in Granite Falls from 6 until 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Construction on the project is expected to begin next spring and wrap up in the fall of 2020.
