MARSHALL — A Marshall woman is facing multiple charges after attempting to fight and flee the police. On Sunday at 8:41PM, a disturbance was reported in the 500 block of Village Drive. Officers were investigating a possible assault when they discovered damage to a vehicle. When attempting to place the suspect under arrest, she attempted to grab the officer’s equipment and flee from the scene. The suspect was taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation when she attempted to flee again. An 18-year-old Marshall woman was arrested and is facing charges including damage to property, obstructing the legal process, motor vehicle tampering, minor consumption, escape from custody, possession of a dangerous weapon, and disarming a peace officer.
