Marian Kerr, age 79, of Tyler, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the Avera Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Tyler. A prayer service will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Hartquist Funeral Home – Tyler Chapel with visitation being held one hour prior from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at St. Dionysius Catholic Cemetery in Tyler. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hartquist Funeral Home – Tyler Chapel.
Marian Cecile Kerr was born on April 8, 1943 to Edward and Ceil (Kohler) Dubbeldee in Tyler, Minnesota. She attended Arco Elementary School and graduated from Ivanhoe High School in 1961. She worked at St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee, Minnesota for 14 years as a nurse. She was united in marriage to Harold Farasyn and the union was blessed with three children. She later married Raymond Kerr on February 23, 1973 in Ashland, Wisconsin. At the age of 39 she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She entered the care of the Avera Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in 2002. She passed away peacefully there on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at the age of 79. She was a member of St. Dionysius Catholic Church in Tyler. Marian liked to cook and was an animal lover. She enjoyed doing crafts, puzzles, and reading. She was very involved in activities and games at Sunrise.
She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Kevin (Shannon) Farasyn of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Kimberly Stewart (Eric) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Kurt (Tonya) Farasyn of Parkland, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
