Kristi was born on January 6th, 1959, to Gayle and Norma (Pederson) Lecy in Granite Falls, Minnesota. Kristi grew up on a farm near Echo, MN, where she was baptized and confirmed at Rock Dell Lutheran Church. She went on to graduate from Echo High School before moving closer to the Twin Cities to begin her professional career.
