Gary William Carruth, age 80 of Raymond formerly of Redwood Falls, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at his home. Graveside Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Redwood Valley Funeral Home. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Gary William Carruth was born July 18, 1945 to Charles and Genevieve Carruth in Redwood Falls Hospital. He lived with his parents in Redwood Falls until he required supportive services to meet his needs. Gary had many staff that cared for him over the years. In 1995, Gary moved into his last home of 30 years, Chippewa Acres in Raymond where he presently resided. Gary participated in the day training and habilitation services through Sparks Industries in Clara City until his retirement in March of 2016. Gary was known for his happy smiles, giggles and heart warming personality. Gary enjoyed spending time outside listening to nature, lying in his waterbed listening to country music and audio books or sitting by a window in the warm sun. He especially enjoyed listening to audio books by Garrison Keillor. Gary had a love for Italian food, ice cream or anything sweet.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Genevieve.
