Minneapolis (Learfield)-  Minnesota FoodShare has launched its annual March food campaign, with the purpose of providing healthy food to low-income families across the state. Sarah Taubner with Minnesota FoodShare says they don’t set any specific fundraising goals, instead they, “just push to amplify and support local food shelves every year.” She says they want to make sure anyone and any food shelf that participates receives a portion of the money raised. The goal of the 41st-annual campaign is to help the state’s 300-plus food shelves replenish their inventory. Taubner says one hundred percent of donations go into the food fund and will be distributed to shelves across the state.
