Power of the Purse is an exciting event that brings together women from throughout southwest Minnesota with a commitment to our youngest learners. Proceeds from this event support programs such as Imagination Library, Stuff the Bus school supply distribution, Born Learning Trails, and more. All money raised will support local initiatives that help prepare young children in our area for kindergarten.The 2023 Power of the Purse event will start at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 11th, at the KBs Ballroom in Ghent. Join Shear Attraction and many other vendors at this year's 11th annual Spring Ladies Night April 27th from 5-7pm. This will be located at Shear's Attraction's in Marshall Minnesota. More information is listed in the flyer below.

Variety Show & Silent Auction will take place at the Caboose in Tracy on Sunday, April 30th as a fundraiser for the Tracy Area Community Center Project.  Funds raise will go towards the building of the new facility.  Talent from Tracy will perform for the crowd.  Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at Minnwest Bank or from any committee member.  Tickets will also be available at the door.  We hope to see you there to benefit the Community Center Project!  

Everybody is welcome to attend this years QUILT TRUNK SHOW! On Monday, May 1st this event will take place at the Marshall Senior Center. This years show will be featuring Lori Williams. Lori is the owner of the Calico Cat Quilt Shop in Pipestone. Come listen to her journey of becoming a quilt shop owner. She will be telling her story along with showing some samples from her shop located in downtown Pipestone. Admission is FREE will donation for area food shelves.

The Ivanhoe Ambulance Annual Burger Feed will be held at the Ivanhoe VFW on Saturday, May 6th from 1030am-1pm. These will be fresh made burgers with all of the trimmings, fresh fries, and a drink. All proceeds will be going towards equipment and education events.

The St.Joseph Catholic Church of Lamberton is hosting a sauerkraut and dumplings lunch on Sunday, May 7th from 1030am-130pm at the Lamberton American Legion. The cost for adults is 15$ per, and 10$ for children 12 and younger. Takeout and local delivery is available by calling 507-752-9985. There will also be gift baskets available!

The Pioneer Press and SMSU invites you to a FREE musically inspired screening event. The production is called Playing Haydn For the Angel Of Death.
