Spring is here and so is the cold and flu season. Community Blood Bank has been struggling to maintain a strong blood supply due to so many people that are experiencing either colds or flus and just not feeling well. It is ever more important for those that are well and health to consider donating blood and provide hope to local patients in need. Among those who benefit from donated blood are trauma, burn victims, cancer patients, and persons undergoing surgery. You can donate blood every 56 days and provide hope to local patients in need. The next monthly veterans coffee at the Lyon County Museum, 301 W Lyon St, Marshall is Tuesday, April 2 at 1:30 pm. The monthly coffee is open to all veterans. Saturday, April 6th join in on the flying fun at your Marshall Area YMCA with the Model Airplane Show from 10 am - 3 pm with free admission! The electric drone competition is at 2 pm, registration deadline for the show is 2 pm. It is a $10/person entry fee (any number of planes). Plagues will be awarded for Best Scale Plane, Best Iron-on Covering, Best Sport Plane, Best Paint, & Best of Show.
