FREE Concert – Montevideo American Legion

Montevideo American Legion 613 Legion Dr, Montevideo, MN, United States

Head to the Montevideo Post 59 American Legion on Saturday, May 22nd for your chance to hear "Custom Made." This FREE outdoor concert will take place from 7 until 10 PM. Hear covers from the 50s, 60s, and 70s country and rock. Food will be available.

Shades of the Past

Friday night cruise starts at 6:30pm! Line-up starts at 6:00pm behind Runnings. Saturday morning registration is 8am-11am. Car show will be in front of Runnings!

Russell Bandwagon Days

There's entertainment for the whole family at the 132nd Annual Russell Bandwagon Days! On Friday, enjoy carnival rides, bean bag tournaments, and Downtown Sound DJ. Saturday, attend a vendor event and have lunch, bring the kids to the bouncy houses and petting zoo, the kiddie tractor pull, and have fun at the dunk tank! More carnival rides on Saturday, and wrap up the day with the parade and live music downtown. Sunday, bring the whole family for a brunch buffet, community church service, kid's fishing tournament, and rolle bolle tournament!

Prairie Women’s Expo – Tracy, MN

Head to Central Park in Tracy for the 15th Annual Prairie Women's Expo! Visit and shop over 40 vendors, enjoy live music from 11am to 1pm, all while experiencing a tasty food court. The first 200 attendees will get a FREE goodie bag!

MADAN: Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours

Come kick off Marshall's dementia week Painting the town Purple. We will be hosting a Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours and inviting all community members to Memorial Park in Downtown Marshall. We will walk downtown to vote on "Best Decorated" business and learn more about dementia. Refreshments will be available.

MADAN: Live Reading of “Grandpa & Lucy”

Join us for the reading of "Grandpa & Lucy" at 10:00am on 1400-am/101.7-fm KMHL. Wear purple! We invite everyone to join! Edie Weinstein is a ninth grader at Visitation High School in Saint Paul, MN. Edie wrote "Grandpa & Lucy" for a Girl Scout Award Project to help more people, particularly youth, learn about dementia. She wanted to make it more enjoyable for young people to talk to their relatives or other older friends who have dementia. 1st annual Montevideo Fiesta of Marching Bands

The Montevideo Band Program and the Fiesta Days Board are proud to announce the 1st annual Montevideo Fiesta of Marching Bands. The band festival will be Wednesday, June 16th at 6:00pm. This brand new event to Fiesta Days will showcase seven high school marching bands from around the state! Each band will perform their show multiple times during the mile long route followed by an awards ceremony at the high school football field. Buffalo Ridge Gobblers Guns & Diamonds Bingo Night

3rd Annual Buffalo Ridge Gobblers Guns & Diamonds Bingo Night. Thursday, June 17th at KB's Bar & Grill in Ghent. Doors open at 5pm. Bingo from 6 - 9pm. Limited to 150 people. Winners choose from rifles, shotguns, handguns, earrings, bracelets, sporting optics, necklaces, watches, & more! $50 per person & includes 12 games of bingo. Join us for "Fortune Cookies." A one-act play about memory loss. It's a free VIRTUAL event! Reserve tickets prior to event at https://marshall-fortune2021.eventbrite.com Mona has a great idea! This vibrant octogenarian is determined to be the first to know if her recall is slipping beyond what can be considered normal, age-related memory loss. An unexpected visit from her son, David, reveals that she has cooked up a way to help herself and others be on the lookout for the early stages of dementia. This will be an amazing event you won't want to miss!

Please come to listen to MAST: Marshall Area Storytellers share their stories of memories that tug at the heart and wear Purple. Every artist will be telling their own story of their experience with dementia. Listen and learn from stories of caregivers, family members, and those with dementia. There will be an open house at the A.C.E. Office of SW MN, located inside the Lyon County building.
