Help celebrate Walmart's Grand Reopening this Friday, July 14th at 9AM for a ribbon cutting ceremony and community celebration until 3 PM. Walmart has remodeled with department transformations and more time-saving services to make shopping better. At their grand reopening, Walmart will be hosting food trucks, a bounce house, and giveaways. Bring your family and friends to join the festivities!

This Saturday is the poker run hosted by the Currie Fire Department. ATVs, Side by Sides, motorcycles and vehicles are welcome. Registration begins at 11:30 at Roosters in Currie. Food is provided and a raffle drawing is set. Proceeds benefit the Currie Volunteer Fire Department.

The Benefit for Crystle Dougherty is coming up Saturday, July 15th and is inviting you to come and support one another in this time of need. This event will be hosted by Forever Jen Memorial Run, Inc. and will take place at the Arco Fire Hall from 5:00-7:00 PM. A cancer support fundraiser for Breiann Alston is happening at Polish Nail Lounge (on East College Drive) now through Friday 7/28. Our dear friend Breiann is fighting stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and could use encouragement from the Marshall Community. Purses start $35 and all proceeds go toward cancer care while she manages her symptoms. Stop by and take a look. You just might find a fun new style!

The Roadhouse Bar & Grill is hosting a Sammy Kershaw concert Saturday July 29. Sammy Kershaw will be preforming with special guests Forgotten Highway. Go golfing with the Marshall Education Association for the MEA Golf Meet on July 31st. The Marshall Education Association (MEA) will be hosting a golf tournament and you're invited to test your golf skills! This will all take place at the Marshall Golf Club. It's a 4-person team best ball tournament. MEA members will take on students, parents, and community members.

The Milroy Lions Club is having an all you can eat pulled BBQ dinner. This will be Wednesday, August 2nd at Milroy City Park from 5 to 8 PM. They will be serving grilled pork roast, with homemade BBQ sauce, corn on the cob (if ready), potato salad, bread and a beverage. There will also be dessert table from the Milroy Go Getters 4H and the Lions beer wagon. For the meal, Adults are $12, ages 6-12 are $5, and all kids age 5 or under eat free.
