The Lake Shetek Area, Let's Go Fishing Fundraiser will be held on Monday, October 17th at the Marshall Pizza Ranch from 5-8PM. The proceeds earned are used to provide FREE fishing and boating opportunities around the area for residents on a handicap accessible pontoon.

The streamlined version of Shakespeare's popular and controversial comedy The Taming of the Shrew will feature an energetic, satiric, modern spin on gender, power, and relationships. The Taming of the Shrew will alternate performances with The Taming, a hilarious farce exploring those same issues through the lens of today's political landscape...and the Miss America pageant! The Holy Redeemer CCW is having their Fall General Gathering on Monday, October 24th following the 5:30pm Mass. After Mass there will be a meal, a guest speaker, and board meeting. Halloween Family Fun Day at the Museum is Saturday, October 29 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lyon County Museum, 301 W Lyon St, Marshall.  Free event.  All kids dressed in costume will receive a treat bag.
