Arc Minnesota Southwest is hosting a public meeting on Microgrant for Minnesotans with a disability. These grants help people with disabilities reach goals around competitive employment, inclusive housing, and community integration. The Arc Minnesota will host two public meetings about microgrants for Minnesotans with disabilities in southwest Minnesota. There will be a formal presentation, Q&A session, and time to socialize.

The Southwest Minnesota State University Chorale, directed by Dr. Stephen Kingsbury, will perform “Songs of the Earth and Stars” on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church, 100 Church St., Marshall. The left side of his heart is undeveloped. This congenital heart disease happens every 1 in 4,344 births and the cause is unknown. They were seen at the U of M Masonic Children's Hospital for appointments before his birth. On July 6th he underwent his first open heart surgery at the children's hospital. The November Dance sponsored by the Brookings Dance Club (formerly the Brookings Singles Club) will be held at the McKnight Community Center in White SD on November 16 with the band Prairie Thunder providing our dance music.  The dance will be held from 8pm until 12 midnight with the admission being $10 for all dancers over 21 years.  There will be door prizes and you are welcome to bring snacks to share.
